James W. Van Hook, M.D.

Dr. James Van Hook joined the Board in June 2021. He is a practicing Maternal Fetal Medicine OBGYN and Academic Chair at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Dr. Van Hook completed residency training at the University of Texas in Galveston, Texas. He went on to complete a Critical Care fellowship at Bowman Gray School of Medicine and a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Washington. He is also American College of Preventive Medicine fellowship certified in Addiction Medicine. Since 2001, Dr. Van Hook has been involved in physician health and provider recovery support.
