Matthew A. Vail, M.D., MPH

Dr. Vail joined the OhioPHP Board of Directors in 2019. He is the Medical Director of Associate Health for OhioHealth, a healthcare system in Ohio with eleven hospitals and over forty ambulatory facilities. Responsible for medical oversight of vaccination programs, health assessments, respiratory fitness programs, hazmat examinations, work-related injuries and illnesses for 29,000 plus employees, volunteers and students. Dr. Vail was also the Co-Medical Director of Practitioner Health and Wellness assisting with the development of health promotion programs for over 3,000 physicians and advanced nurse practitioners. He is a Board-Certified Occupational Medicine physician and Medical Review Officer for it's drug and alcohol screening program and is a volunteer peer monitor for OhioPHP.
