Professional Training Program in Mind-Body Medicine is CMBM’s core program we’ve offered around the world for 25 years, providing health professionals with the tools they need to become more effective clinicians and to find more meaning in their work. During the intensive 5-day training, our extraordinary faculty teaches the science of mind-body medicine in plenary sessions and techniques for self-awareness and self-expression in supportive small groups — CMBM’s unique model for learning and support.

5-Day Residential Programs Worldwide - Mindfulness Tools

UMASS Center for Mindfullness

Mindfulness Tools, a 5-Day Residential Intensive Program™ is based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR), and is offered for those who may not be able to participate in the traditional 8-week course. The program consists of 5 days (38.5 hours) of direct instruction. It is strongly recommended that you take it as a residential course to fully immerse yourself in this program.

The program is highly participatory, supportive, and structured. You will learn and practice through:

  • guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices

  • gentle stretching and mindful yoga

  • group dialogue and mindful communication exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life

  • individually tailored instruction

8-Week Live Online Mindful Based Stress Reduction Program

UMASS Medical School

This program addresses the needs of those interested in taking the MBSR 8-Week program with others, but are unable to physically attend the in-person program. The entire course is delivered live through video conferencing. Rather than meeting in-person, participants engage with the teacher and interact with one another through their computer during class time, and for home assignments and practice.

The Live Online MBSR program consists of:

  • Orientation (required for enrollment)

  • Eight weekly classes, 2 1/2 hours each (31 hours direct instruction)

  • One All-Day class on a Saturday or Sunday, between classes 6 and 7

  • Daily home practice assignments for 45-60 minutes each day

Palouse Mindfulness

Online Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

A live, in-person Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class is still the best way to learn mindfulness, because it is more likely that you will complete the course, due to the live interaction and group support.

But doing an in-person course is not always possible, for financial and logistical reasons. This online course uses precisely the same course curriculum and resources that I used in my local in-person course, and if you follow the suggestions and practices for each of the eight weeks of the course, the learning can be just as deep and profound. In fact, the end-of-course reports I've received from online graduates indicate that they benefit just as much as people who complete the in-person course.
